Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our retail store team. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and have a positive experience in our store.
  • Profit and Sales Management: Monitor and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals, including reviewing the profit and loss statement.
  • Sales Results: Analyze and compare sales results against budgeted figures.
  • Associate Development: Train, motivate, and supervise store associates to ensure they meet and exceed performance standards.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Gather and analyze competitive information to inform business decisions.
  • Reporting: Provide daily and weekly statistics to the District Manager and corporate office.
  • Store Promotions: Ensure that all store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and communicated to associates and customers.
  • Hiring and Training: Hire, train, and develop store associates to meet business needs.
  • Professional Relations: Maintain positive relationships with doctors, National Vision associates, and customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of management experience in retail and/or optical industry.
  • Skills: Proficient computer skills, ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, and effective communication skills.
