About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automation Account Executive to join our Sales team at Formic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion in the region by developing and implementing strategic sales plans, building strong relationships with key customers and partners, and evaluating customer requirements for automation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion in the region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Evaluate customer requirements for automation projects and work with the engineering team to develop concepts and quotes.
  • Generate new business opportunities and qualify potential projects to ensure alignment with Formic's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales Development team members to create targeted account outreach and lead site visits for new project discovery.
  • Represent Formic at trade shows and other industry events to showcase our Robotics-as-a-Service solutions.
  • Maintain data integrity and document all pertinent information in Salesforce to ensure seamless sales processes.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in technology or SaaS, with a preference for robotics, manufacturing, or industrial automation.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within the Philadelphia/central PA territory, including occasional overnight trips.
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on building long-term relationships and providing outstanding customer experiences.
  • Proven success in hunting and building a territory, including building a territory plan, generating leads, and leading site visits.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and market insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Hunger to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and G-suite.
  • Experience thriving in a sales process-driven environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, assertive nature.
  • Dedication to upholding process while staying resilient and keeping a team player attitude.
  • Impeccable follow-up and follow-through.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The expected base pay range for this position is $80,000-$135,000 USD. Eligible Sales positions will also include a commission plan, the formal and detailed structure of which will be shared for mutual agreement once onboarded.
