Key Responsibilities:

This position entails evaluating credit and conducting thorough investigations of current and potential clients and partners.

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Focusing on credit, market, and reputational risks.
  • Ensuring compliance with credit risk policies and monitoring risk appetite.
  • Generating and reviewing reports, including regulatory and specific to Lines of Business.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Managing a portfolio of 15-20 corporate clients, which involves financial analysis and ongoing assessment of creditworthiness.
  • Assisting in the origination, negotiation, and structuring of senior bank debt and related credit products.
  • Building comprehensive knowledge of each client through extensive research and industry insights.
  • Collaborating with professionals across Risk and Global Banking and Markets, particularly in Corporate Banking, Trading, Treasury Management, and Syndications.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative due diligence on industry and company factors.
  • Researching, writing, and presenting financial and industry analyses to support company-specific and portfolio-level decisions.
  • Evaluating transaction and relationship risk-adjusted profitability to optimize capital allocation.
  • Monitoring clients' financial performance, industry trends, and emerging risks.
  • Participating in the structuring, underwriting, and documentation of credit facilities to meet client and investor needs while balancing internal risk/return requirements.
  • Managing credit exposure across a wide range of products, including Loans, Leasing, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, and Treasury Management.
  • Overseeing the management of risk parameters and ensuring adherence to risk appetite and limits.
  • Supporting the credit approval process and being accountable for overall portfolio performance and asset quality.
  • Conducting analysis and developing credit risk reporting for specific products, monitoring key indicators for changes in credit quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and standards, performing due diligence to maintain risk within defined appetites.
  • Monitoring adherence to industry risk governance and identifying potential operational, reputational, and market risks.
  • Proactively identifying risks that could impact the assigned portfolio and coordinating with business counterparts to address portfolio issues.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in Commercial/Corporate banking risk and/or analysis.
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of corporate finance.
  • Strong business writing capabilities.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Foundational understanding of legal credit agreements.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Familiarity with ancillary bank products (treasury, cash management, derivatives, etc.).
  • Specific experience in Technology, Media, Telecom & Gaming is a plus.
