Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is a leading global financial institution with a rich history and a strong commitment to innovation. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bilingual Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Japanese Corporate Banking.

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing credit risks of Japanese corporate customers and determining risk ratings based on internal procedures and policies. You will work closely with senior portfolio managers to develop and implement credit management strategies, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of credit ratings and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Active Portfolio Management
  • Manage a designated portfolio of Japanese corporate credit customers.
  • Perform due diligence and scheduled reviews regularly.
  • Analyze credit risk of the designated portfolio, determine accurate ratings, and make recommendations to management.
  • Prepare detailed credit analysis and credit applications in accordance with Americas Credit Policy and procedures.
Deal Support
  • Work with business lines and product groups to identify prospective transactions.
  • Identify structural risks and mitigants in prospective transactions and recommend structuring of deals and covenant.
  • Advise relationship managers on credit risk issues, terms and conditions, to create the best possible deal.
Policy Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements and internal policy and procedures.

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of working experience in financial institutions or equivalent, in accounting/financial analysis areas.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Japanese language skill (business level or higher) required.
  • Bachelor's degree required (major in accounting/finance/business preferred).
  • MBA or CFA is a plus.
