Job Summary

Citigroup Inc is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Credit Risk Manager to join its Business and International Risk division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for proactive credit risk management, connectivity with senior management and other key Risk stakeholders, and solution-oriented partnership with the Citigroup Corporate Banking, Product and Underwriting teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a portfolio of credit exposures to Citi's North American Corporate clients in compliance with Citigroup's policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide credit risk approval for new transactions as Senior Credit Officer, including revolving lines of credit, term loans, underwriting positions, derivatives, and cash management.
  • Communicate clearly with Citi Corporate Banking and Institutional Credit Management Underwriting organizations, particularly with respect to effective challenge and recommendation of transactions.
  • Advise and make concise approval recommendations to senior management.
  • Interact directly with Credit Review Function, Internal Audit, and banking regulators during their periodic and ad-hoc reviews.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Co-manage criticized assets with Special Assets colleagues, including valuation analysis, amendment approvals, and quarterly credit reviews.
  • Work with Risk colleagues on risk mitigation at both inception of transactions and on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relationship banking or credit risk/risk-related work experience in large banking/financial institutions.
  • Current Senior Credit Officer (or external equivalent) approval authority.
  • Knowledge of and multiple years of experience in Technology, Media Telecom or Consumer, Retail and Healthcare Industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance concepts and leveraged finance experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics preferred, and MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred and formal Credit Training is a plus.
