Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates exemplary leadership in financial aid management, promoting accessibility and inclusivity in financial support services.
  • Supervises a dedicated team of financial aid counselors, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant federal, state, and institutional regulations governing financial aid.
  • Conducts comprehensive internal audits of financial aid processes and prepares detailed reports for review.
  • Establishes and oversees policies for verification and awarding of financial aid, determining eligibility criteria for students.
  • Collaborates with the Admissions team to optimize the distribution of institutional scholarships.
  • Develops strategies for loan default prevention and management, ensuring students are well-informed about their options.
  • Provides expert counseling to prospective and current students regarding financial aid opportunities.
  • Manages the Department of Education's Direct Loan and CPS ISIR file transfers effectively.
  • Responsible for the annual updates and configuration of the financial aid module within the institution's administrative system.
  • Creates and presents financial aid webinars and outreach initiatives to educate the community.
  • Represents the Financial Aid Office at various recruitment events to promote the school's offerings.
  • Performs additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in financial aid management, preferably in a university environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within a higher education context is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with admissions processes and procedures is advantageous.
