Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time Legal Assistant to support our auto accident division at the Law Offices of Fogam & Associates L. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $48,000 to $50,000 per year plus commission.

About Us: Our law firm has been serving clients for over 26 years, specializing in immigration and auto accident cases. We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing exceptional legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the intake process for auto accident cases and establish client files using our office systems.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for litigation, including drafting complaints and conducting discovery.
  • Prepare settlement demands and related documentation.
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding their case status.
  • Engage with auto insurance companies to facilitate case progress.
  • Coordinate with medical providers to obtain necessary medical records and bills.

Qualifications:

  • A two-year college degree or equivalent experience is preferred, along with a paralegal studies certification.
  • At least two years of experience in handling automobile accident cases, from initial intake to litigation support.
  • Proficient in typing and familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with case management software (Clio or similar) is advantageous; training will be provided.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A quick learner with the ability to adapt to new office systems; training will be provided.
