About the Position

The Sacramento County CA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Administrative Services Manager in our Sheriff's Department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform complex budget analysis, preparation, and monitoring to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
  2. Supervise and train staff to ensure effective team performance and productivity.
  3. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with departmental teams to coordinate and schedule work, assignments, and activities.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders through written and verbal reports, ensuring clear and concise information is conveyed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Two years of full-time experience in a similar role, preferably in the Sacramento County service.
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license, Class C or higher.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to work in a detention facility and interact with inmates.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and composure in challenging situations.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials, including bodily fluids.
  • Work in hot or cold conditions for extended periods.
  • Wear and maintain a designated Sheriff's Department uniform.

Probationary Period

The probationary period for this classification is six (6) months.

The County may conduct a background check on the candidate prior to appointment, including personal and professional reference checks, credit history checks, and driving history.
