Are you passionate about enhancing children's lives through nutrition? Become a vital part of our community as a Prep Cook at The Learning Experience. In this role, you will play a significant part in shaping the dietary habits and overall well-being of children by providing education on healthy eating and balanced meals. You will foster a collaborative atmosphere that promotes growth and development.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prepare wholesome meals for children that adhere to nutritional guidelines.
  • Ensure the safety of all children by monitoring and managing food allergies, communicating any concerns to the educational staff daily.
  • Follow stringent food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols to guarantee proper food storage and preparation.
  • Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to procure necessary food supplies and maintain accurate inventory records as mandated by local and state regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive demeanor towards parents and children, fostering effective communication.
  • Exhibit adaptability to meet the daily operational needs of a childcare environment.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in food preparation and culinary services.
  • Possession of a food handling certificate or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour
