Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Keke's Breakfast Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food products to ensure a high-quality dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food products to order, utilizing flat top grills, char-broiler, cook top, waffle baker, Panini press, and fryer.
  • Assume responsibility for the quality of products prepared and served, adhering to our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including all cooking equipment and refrigeration equipment.
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly.
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Open and close the kitchen properly, following the closing checklist for kitchen stations, and assist others in closing the kitchen.
  • Assist in routine kitchen cleaning and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Exceptional grooming habits.
  • Must be available 6:00 am to 4:00 pm every day, including holidays.
  • Full-time applicants must consider Keke's as their primary place of employment.
  • All employees must have dark blue jeans with a black belt and black non-slip shoes on the first day of work.
