Role Responsibilities:
The Sales Consultant will be responsible for:
- Driving sales growth by generating demand through specifications.
- Building and nurturing relationships with architects, designers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
- Identifying and qualifying project leads to establish a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Creating specification volumes that meet or exceed sales targets for the designated territory.
Key Duties:
To excel in this role, the individual must:
- Generate and enhance design specifications in the assigned territory, tracking and closing them to drive sales and margin growth.
- Engage early in project designs and monitor them through CRM from bidding to closure.
- Identify and convert new project leads into the CRM system and maintain an active project tracking pipeline.
- Utilize CRM effectively to capture accounts, contacts, and project activities.
- Influence design decisions with key stakeholders to promote our strengths and solutions.
- Update and modify architect specifications to enhance our market presence.
- Collaborate with local representatives on targeted projects to maximize coverage.
- Establish and strengthen relationships within the architectural and design community.
- Recommend product solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales potential.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 1-3 years of experience in the construction or related industry.
- A strong desire for continuous learning and relationship building.
- Excellent communication skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Analytical skills with a solid understanding of the commercial construction process.
