Overview

As a Cleaning Specialist, you are vital in crafting an unforgettable initial impression for our visitors from the moment they arrive at their accommodations. Under Canvas is celebrated for delivering a glamping experience that encompasses all the comforts and luxuries of home. Your responsibility is to ensure that our tent lodgings are pristine, well-kept, stocked with essentials, and prepared for our guests to relish their stay. This is a seasonal, hourly role that includes the option for team member housing throughout the employment period.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Promptly report any issues requiring attention to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Take pride in adhering to protocols by consistently ensuring our tents are clean, well-supplied, and ready to welcome guests.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of cleaning staff under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor to complete all tasks successfully.
  • Exhibit the stamina to work extended hours in various weather conditions.
  • Engage regularly with colleagues and guests in a sincere, professional manner.
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve problems independently or in partnership with your team and/or supervisor.
  • Actively seek opportunities to ensure guests have everything they require.
  • This includes changing bedding with fresh linens, sweeping floors, sanitizing personal spaces, dusting, and organizing.
  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines while upholding high standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Friendly team player.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred.
Additional Information
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, including during extreme temperatures or weather events.
  • Able to stand and move for long durations.
  • Capability to lift 30 lbs independently; assistance is required for lifts over 31 lbs.
  • This position may be contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested.
