Position Summary

The Patient Access Specialist in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing essential administrative and reception support tailored to the needs of patients across various age groups. This role adheres to established Standards of Care and Practice, ensuring a safe and efficient environment. The specialist plays a crucial role in the orderly registration of patients, collecting accurate information, and verifying insurance details. They are also responsible for managing incoming calls with professionalism and directing them appropriately within the healthcare facility. Visitors are greeted warmly, and assistance is arranged for patients needing to consult with a Financial Counselor.
