Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to work out of our Sugar Grove, IL plant. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing, reviewing, and updating mechanical designs and drawings in accordance with required specifications, standards, customer comments, and internal design models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automated systems for diverse manufacturing and production environments
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of the machine design process, from planning and design to testing and implementation
  • Lead collaborative discussions between leadership and key stakeholders to determine automation capabilities and goals
  • Maintain customer correspondence, including approvals, changes, agreements, and transmittals
  • Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology (or similar related degree)
  • Years of related job experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Proficient with MS Office, SolidWorks
  • Ability to measure and model new and existing mechanical components
