Key Responsibilities
The Senior Revenue Management Analyst is tasked with a blend of market revenue enhancement, process optimization, and team leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and establishing pricing strategies based on market dynamics, load factors, and demand to maximize revenue through rules-based decision-support tools.
- Identifying best practices and opportunities for process enhancements, designing innovative solutions.
- Providing oversight and performance management for the team, ensuring alignment with revenue KPIs.
- Maintaining awareness of competitive market conditions and recommending necessary adjustments.
- Mentoring and guiding junior analysts to foster their development.
Essential Functions
- Analyze data and summarize findings; develop, review, and present actionable conclusions.
- Extract insights from data to create solutions based on identified opportunities.
- Optimize revenue through effective seat allocation strategies.
- Assist and lead analysts in establishing market and flight-level forecasting and management approaches.
- Provide training and mentorship to Revenue Management Analysts I & II.
- Validate and optimize demand forecasts for selected markets.
- Evaluate market influences and performance, identifying demand trends.
- Monitor individual progress towards market objectives and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business, Aviation Management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Operations Research is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant revenue management roles.
- Familiarity with revenue management systems is essential.
- Ability to independently identify issues and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with SQL, Python, or VBA is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Thorough understanding of revenue management principles and practices.
- Ability to work autonomously with flexibility in workload planning.
- Skill in summarizing variances and presenting recommendations to management.
- Competence in producing high-quality quantitative analyses.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with all organizational levels.
