Creative Financial Staffing is proud to partner with a dynamic, high-growth start-up based in Downtown Denver. This innovative company is seeking a dedicated Senior Revenue Accountant to support their continued growth and ensure accurate revenue accounting.

Role Overview

As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the month-end close process and oversee non-energy-related revenue streams. Your responsibilities will include reviewing revenue flows, documenting processes, and ensuring accurate revenue recognition. You will work closely with internal teams to understand different revenue streams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the month-end close process for non-energy revenue streams.
  • Map out complete revenue flows, identify gaps, and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Assess and enhance current processes, ensuring clear and consistent documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand different revenue streams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Assist in transitioning to a public company-oriented revenue process, maintaining compliance.
  • Segment the revenue team by stream for better tracking and earlier issue identification.
  • Handle large datasets using advanced Excel functions to support decision-making and reporting.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of revenue and cost of goods sold in complex, multi-stream environments.
  • Proven track record of reviewing, improving, and documenting processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Proficient in XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and handling large volumes of transactions.
  • NetSuite experience is a huge plus.
  • Experience with ASC606 is highly preferred.
