As a key member of the Compliance & Product Services team within the property sector, you will engage in the technical advancement of new and updated insurance offerings, addressing the evolving market landscape across various business lines, such as commercial property, businessowners, farm, homeowners, and dwelling property.
Your primary objectives will center on enhancing customer satisfaction, ensuring product excellence, and maintaining relevance and promptness. To achieve these aims, your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting policy language and formulating guidelines that assist insurers in the issuance and assessment of policies, alongside creating pertinent documentation, including filings and notifications for clients.
- Analyzing legislation, regulations, and judicial rulings to assess their implications on ISO products and insurer practices.
- Creating policy language and guidelines for significant program revisions that deliver valuable enhancements to products utilized throughout the insurance sector.
- Examining state-specific laws and requirements to ensure program updates are compliant and pertinent across jurisdictions.
- Utilizing your insurance knowledge and research capabilities to provide timely and insightful responses to insurer inquiries on a broad spectrum of insurance matters.
- Preparing and presenting topics to insurer panels regarding emerging trends and potential modifications.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders, including Product Development, Legal, Government Relations, and Actuarial teams, to invite diverse perspectives and contributions.
- Working alongside the Product Development team to investigate and assess new products, considering their impact on existing offerings, and collaborating to bring these products to market.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in P&C insurance, particularly in product development, claims, underwriting, or filing submissions with insurance regulators.
- Experience in analyzing and developing forms, rules, and/or rating is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, research, and analytical abilities.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Familiarity with ISO commercial auto or personal auto insurance procedures is advantageous.
- Completion or pursuit of CPCU examinations is a plus.
