The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Medical Laboratory Assistant plays a vital role in the healthcare team, responsible for specimen processing and providing technical support to laboratory staff. This position offers two levels of progression, allowing individuals to develop their skills and take on more complex tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical laboratory specimen processing
  • Provide clerical and technical support to laboratory staff
  • Assist with laboratory procedures and tests
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • National certification as a Phlebotomist or ability to obtain within six months
  • One year of healthcare experience or demonstrated proficiency as an Administrative Support II at SCF
Additional Requirements for Laboratory Assistant II
  • Meets all requirements of Laboratory Assistant I
  • Two years of experience performing Laboratory Assistant duties or demonstrated proficiency as a Laboratory Assistant I at SCF
  • National certification as a Phlebotomist
Native Preference and Employee Health Requirements

SCF pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training. Compliance with employee health screening and immunizations is a condition of SCF employment.
