Neuroradiology Faculty Opportunity at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
Position: Assistant/Associate/Professor, NT (full-time)
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Department of Radiology is actively seeking full-time faculty members at various academic ranks. The selected candidates will engage in adult neuroradiology, focusing on the brain, head and neck, and spine.
The Division of Neuroradiology comprises a team of 13 fellowship-trained, CAQ-certified professionals who interpret neuroradiology examinations from our primary academic hospital and cancer center. They also provide consultation on complex neuroradiology cases across the UPMC health system. Our division emphasizes mentorship and career development, encouraging specialization within the field of neuroradiology.
There are abundant research opportunities and support available, although clinical applicants are also welcomed. The MR Research Center and the PET Research Center serve as the foundation of our research environment, offering support for numerous multi-departmental translational and clinical research initiatives. Dedicated research coordinators are available to assist with both funded and unfunded research projects. UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, the central hub for our neuroradiology division, is recognized as a Level I Trauma Center and has consistently been featured on the US News and World Report's Honor Roll. It is a leading institution for otolaryngology, neurosurgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, trauma services, and neuro-oncology. The Hillman Cancer Institute is renowned for its multidisciplinary care for neuro-oncology and head and neck cancer patients.

The Department of Radiology at UPMC stands as one of the largest academic radiology programs in the nation, supported by fully-staffed clinical offices, reading room personnel, residents, and neuroradiology fellows. Our extensive neuroradiology procedural services are backed by specialized nurses and physician assistants.
Responsibilities will encompass a blend of clinical, educational, and academic duties. Candidates must possess an MD degree or equivalent, be board eligible or certified in radiology, and qualify for unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania. Completion of an ACGME accredited diagnostic radiology residency is mandatory, along with fellowship training in Neuroradiology or equivalent experience.
