Job Summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Monitor to join our team at the Harbor Light Center. As a Security Monitor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce rules and regulations of the Harbor Light Center to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Conduct regular security checks and monitor security cameras to prevent and respond to potential security threats.
  • Facilitate emergency evacuations and ensure the building is secure and all doors are locked.
  • Conduct searches of dorm rooms, belongings, and other areas to detect contraband or prohibited items.
  • Administer Breathalyzers and urine drug screens as required and random.
  • Process and receipt cash and check payments for client accounts when the Financial Office is closed.
  • Attend monthly In-service Meetings and staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Background check required, with all results reviewed.
  • Security experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and completion of Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a typical office environment, with some weekend and evening work required.
