What you will be tasked with:
We are seeking a meticulous Project Accountant with strong analytical abilities.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with a solid foundation in mathematics and the capability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

We value individuals who thrive under pressure in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and can prioritize tasks while knowing when to escalate issues to management.


Key project support activities include project initiation, invoicing, managing accounts receivable/payable, document handling, filing, and additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor. Proficiency in computer applications and excellent customer service skills are essential.

Potential Responsibilities Include:
- Establishing new projects and opportunities in relevant systems and securing necessary approvals
- Setting up new projects, adjusting budgets, updating timelines, and tracking approval processes
- Reviewing contract documents for billing stipulations
- Drafting subconsultant agreements and monitoring budget compliance
- Preparing and supplying documentation to internal teams
- Reviewing prebills and processing client invoices in accordance with contract requirements
- Monitoring unbilled amounts to ensure timely billing and processing
- Maintaining project files and assisting with project evaluations
- Supporting the Business Manager with office needs
- Acting as the primary contact for the office
- Managing multiple projects and adapting to changes
- Processing Accounts Payables
- Engaging in daily communication with the accounting team regarding invoicing and project setup
- Collaborating with project managers and leadership teams

Qualifications:

What you should bring:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role; a four-year degree may substitute for experience.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Experience in frequent interactions with peers, office staff, and management.

- A collaborative approach to problem-solving, valuing diverse perspectives and promoting learning among team members.


- A commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace that values diversity and equity for all employees and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

- A four-year degree

- Experience in project accounting within the engineering or construction sectors

- Familiarity with the architectural/engineering industry

- Knowledge of Deltek products (Vision, CostPoint, VantagePoint)
