Cloud Infrastructure Automation Specialist
Remote / Kent, WA

Bluehawk Consulting is on the lookout for four proficient Cloud Infrastructure Automation Specialists. The initiative focuses on the comprehensive automation of post-evaluation data analysis for their Engines Programs. The selected professionals will be tasked with transitioning an on-premise solution to contemporary AWS services and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Automation & Transition:
  • Design and execute automation for post-evaluation data analysis workflows utilizing AWS services.
  • Transition existing engine test data post-processing scripts to the new AWS-centric solution, ensuring uninterrupted functionality and performance.
  • Refactor Python scripts to leverage Sagemaker/Lambda services and updated storage frameworks.
Configuration Management:
  • Establish and uphold configuration management for analysis scripts and outcomes, ensuring uniformity, precision, and traceability.
  • Adopt best practices for version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Connectivity & Integration:
  • Create systems to guarantee the connectivity of analysis outcomes to downstream users, enhancing data accessibility and usability.
  • Collaborate with software development and data analysis teams to integrate new features and functionalities.
Infrastructure Oversight:
  • Design, implement, and oversee scalable and dependable infrastructure using Kubernetes and AWS services.
  • Monitor and enhance system performance, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Implement role-based access controls within AWS services.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Significant experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and methodologies, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Demonstrated experience in DevOps roles with an emphasis on automation and cloud infrastructure.
  • Background in transitioning legacy scripts and applications to modern cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently, with a proactive approach to achieving project objectives.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, U.S. Permanent Resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a Refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages (e.g., Java, Go) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
Education

Desired Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

Salary Range for this position: $131,000 - $145,000
