Job Summary

As a Radiology Department Manager at Ascension, you will oversee the daily operation and development of patient care services in the radiology department. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments, assessing quality of patient care, and coordinating patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
  • Oversee scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local agencies, including Joint Commission, ACR, JRCERT, ICAVL, and all regulatory agencies.

Requirements
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentaled from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) also accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience or 7 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
