Job Summary:

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Radiology team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and working closely with radiologists to provide accurate imaging results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT examinations according to department procedure manual and established protocols.
• Interview patients for history pertaining to CT exam, including unusual conditions or limitations.
• Prepare and administer contrast media, oral and IV contrast.
• Monitor and observe patients for any abnormal changes in color, respiration, heart rate, and responsiveness.
• Respond to emergency situations, administer first aid/CPR as needed, and maintain emergency equipment in the room.
• Confirm patient identification by verbal confirmation and visual ID band inspection.
• Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self according to prescribed radiation safety standards.
• Assist and/or move patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, and CT scan table.
• Prepare patients for procedures according to established Radiology Department protocols.
• Verify accuracy of radiology orders by checking physicians' orders in patients' charts or prescriptions.
• Assist radiologists in IR CT examinations, including biopsies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist required.
• CPR certification required.
• CT certification required.
