About the Role

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist at the University of Maryland Medical System, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the academic mission of our institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate radiology equipment, including radiographic machines, fluoroscopic machines, and processors, to produce diagnostic images.
  • Apply ionizing radiation to patients according to standard operating procedures and department policies.
  • Demonstrate basic clinical competence in various radiologic procedures, including fluoroscopy, pediatric radiography, and trauma imaging.
  • Respond effectively to patient care emergencies and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain certification and licensure, and stay up-to-date with the latest radiologic principles and practices.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Registered or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.
