Job Title: Digital Advocacy Manager

About the Role:

The Pew Charitable Trusts is seeking a highly skilled Digital Advocacy Manager to lead our eAdvocacy team in crafting and distributing strategic digital communications to policymakers, thought leaders, and grassroots advocates. This role will oversee a team of dedicated staff, monitor performance, set strategic goals, and facilitate professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated strategies to meet organizational and programmatic objectives using online communication tools.
  • Manage a team of dedicated staff, including developing a collaborative team culture, encouraging professionalism and professional development, and creating a culture of operational excellence.
  • Work with program teams to advance the development of policymaker outreach, advocacy campaigns, and digital advocacy tools and best practices.
  • Coordinate with IT and external affairs teams to ensure seamless integration of digital advocacy efforts.
  • Establish core metrics, track and analyze performance data, and deliver reports to program, communications, and government relations staff.
  • Manage relationships and deliverables from vendors, assist in evaluating contracts, and serve as an advocate for the eAdvocacy team in mid-level management meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Eight years of professional experience, including staff, project, and/or consultant management experience.
  • Experience with online outreach, online communications programs, and email management.
  • Strong strategic and tactical online advocacy and communication skills, with a detailed understanding of the online space.
  • Experience working with online advocacy platforms, CRM tools, and analytics software.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work individually or collaboratively with groups of colleagues.
  • Sound consultation and relationship management skills, with strong oral communications, writing, and research skills.
