As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-home patient visits in accordance with the patient's care plan under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Guiding and assisting patients with both active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional activities, activities of daily living (ADL), transfers, safety protocols, and prosthetic training.
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting to the supervising provider regarding the patient's response to treatment and any changes in their condition.
  • Educating patients and their families on how to effectively participate in and contribute to the rehabilitation process.

To qualify as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with Interim HealthCare:

  • Licensure: Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PT) in the relevant state.
  • Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification is required.
  • Possession of a valid state-issued driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation; willingness to travel is essential.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a home health or comparable environment.
