As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting in-home patient visits in accordance with the patient's care plan under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
- Guiding and assisting patients with both active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, activities of daily living (ADL), transfers, safety protocols, and prosthetic training.
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting the patient's responses to treatment and any changes in their condition to the supervising provider.
- Educating patients and their families on how to effectively participate in and contribute to the rehabilitation process.
To qualify as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with us, you will need:
- A current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the relevant state.
- Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification.
- A valid state-issued driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation; willingness to travel is essential.
- A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a home health or similar environment.
