Position Overview:

As a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients in need. Your work with Interim HealthCare will involve supporting a diverse range of patient services aimed at enhancing comfort and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home patient assessments in accordance with the established care plan, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Guide and assist patients in performing both active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, activities of daily living (ADL), and safety protocols.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate the patient's progress and any changes in their condition to the supervising healthcare provider.
  • Educate patients and their families on effective participation in the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the relevant state.
  • Current certification in CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid is required.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation are necessary; willingness to travel is essential.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a home health or comparable environment.
