As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing financial transactions, and selling bank products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality customer service to customers and coworkers
  • Open new consumer and business accounts
  • Accept and process deposits, including large commercial deposits, night and mail deposits, and loan payments
  • Sell cashier checks and money orders
  • Transfer funds
  • Monitor cash for detection of counterfeit money
  • Verify customer identity, endorsements, and signatures
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of the day
  • Order money from the vault
  • Occasionally balance the vault
  • Identify and process dormant accounts
  • Answer telephones
  • Perform depository account maintenance and enter new accounts into the system
  • Serve as a backup Teller as needed
  • Assist the branch manager

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working as a Teller preferred
  • Complete New Account Consumer and New Account Business training
  • Ability to type 60 wpm
  • Ability to operate 10-key
  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to complete normal transactions with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office software
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Ability to handle large amounts of money without error
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer relation skills
  • Attention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years: Banking experience
  • 1-2 years: Teller experience
