Job Title: Site Specialist I

As a Site Specialist I at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers by providing exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inventory management activities, including receiving, stocking, and disbursement of products.
  • Operate various Thermo Fisher Scientific handheld devices, including Requisition & Inventory Management.
  • Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & work instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with Site Supervisor and Team Lead regarding daily duties and customer requirements.
  • Promote personal growth and development by staying up-to-date with new policies and improvements.
  • Resolve customer concerns and identify solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times, providing expert and positive service to customers.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of customer service, warehouse, or inventory management experience preferred.
  • Ability to present and articulate points through verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proactive approach in all duties.
Work Environment:

Works primarily at customer sites, which may require independent work at the customer locations. Depending on the area of the building, personal protective equipment must be worn, including lab coats, coveralls, hoods, facemasks, hairnets, safety gloves, steel-toe shoes, bump hats, and/or safety glasses.

Regularly required to lift 30-40lbs, and up to 50lbs occasionally. Regularly use equipment including pushcarts, pallet jacks, mobile cylinders, forklifts, etc. to push/pull up to 100lbs. Regularly required to stand, walk, and conduct manual material handling (twisting, bending, reaching, lifting, etc.) for prolonged periods. Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures (cold rooms, outside, etc.). Ability to work overtime, or independently, as needed.
