Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Care team in General Cardiology. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients with various cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing support and care to patients with cardiac conditions, including those with acute and chronic conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians and support staff to ensure timely and effective communication and scheduling.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational quality management and/or quality improvement projects as directed by the leadership team.
  • Proficiently use the electronic medical record to document patient information in a clear, concise, and complete manner.
  • Provide clinical telephone triage and general nursing support for patients across the Ambulatory General Cardiology Department.
  • Maintain familiarity with department activity and work closely with clinicians and support staff to provide the most appropriate triage and facilitate timely and effective communication and scheduling.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in an Ambulatory Clinic/Practice setting required.
  • Minimum of 3 years responsible related experience as a Registered Nurse within a patient care ambulatory environment with expertise in Cardiology required.
  • Experience with telephone triage and telephone-based clinical assessment techniques required.
  • Experience providing in-person triage and direct patient care for acute and chronic conditions as appropriate for an ambulatory outpatient setting required.
  • Experience performing point of care testing and ambulatory clinic procedures required.
