Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at New Hanover Medical Group. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans, X-rays, and bone density exams to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries.

Responsibilities
  1. Explain procedures to patients to ensure their cooperation and comfort.
  2. Operate CT scanners, X-ray machines, and bone density equipment to produce high-quality images.
  3. Assist in scheduling exams and obtaining pre-authorization as needed.
  4. Administer contrast media and medications as required, under the supervision of a physician or RN.
  5. Complete accurate and detailed records of work performed, including patient information and exam results.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  7. Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid care as needed.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Radiology Tech-Registered certification.
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
