About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at New Hanover Medical Group. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Computerized Tomography, X-ray, and bone density procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries.
  • Explain procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties.
  • Assist in scheduling exams and ensuring pre-authorization is obtained prior to performing exams.
  • Administer contrast media and medications as necessary.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Adhere to radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Radiology Technologist (RT) credential.
  • An Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
