Role: Senior Loan Processor

  • Direct access to underwriters for streamlined communication.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with borrowers throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process various loan types, including FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, Home Equity Lines of Credit, and more.
  2. Accurately assess income for diverse borrower profiles.
  3. Communicate effectively with clients, loan agents, and third parties involved in the mortgage process.
  4. Request, review, and verify all necessary loan documentation to ensure accuracy before submission to underwriting.
  5. Obtain and verify employment and deposit information, as well as credit reports.
  6. Prioritize daily tasks to align with company timelines.
  7. Provide regular updates to clients and loan agents regarding loan status.
  8. Ensure compliance with redisclosure requirements in the loan origination system.
  9. Coordinate loan closings with clients and title companies.
  10. Be prepared to work additional hours as needed.
  11. Other related duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Desired Skills:

  1. In-depth knowledge of various loan programs, including FHA, VA, and Conventional.
  2. Familiarity with federal and state regulations, including TRID.
  3. Strong analytical skills for evaluating complex tax returns and calculating borrower income.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education and Experience:

  1. 5-7 years of experience in mortgage loan processing.
  2. Current experience with purchase loans is essential.
  3. Proficiency in Encompass or similar mortgage loan origination systems.
  4. Understanding of compliance regulations and investor guidelines.

Physical Requirements: This role may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Candidates must be able to lift up to ten pounds and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and coordination.
