Description and Responsibilities Respite is a short-term group living environment that provides treatment of intermittent crisis and stabilization for adults who are diagnosed with a mental health/substance use disorder. The goal of the Respite program is to work collaboratively with individuals to develop skills to maintain their independence in the community and to live a life that is not defined by their mental illness. The Division Director will be responsible for the oversight of onsite and community Respite programs. They will hire, supervise, and evaluate Program Coordinators in the management of their respective programs and ensure that the programs meet licensing and other accreditation standards. The Division Director also acts as the gatekeeper between the organization, community, and funders to ensure a smooth referral process for individuals served and works with the funding sources to ensure coordination of service delivery. Other Key Responsibilities: Participate in developing proposals for new respite programs, renewals, and expansions,including contributing ideas and written materials for grants and RFRs. Lead, implement and oversee new programs and expansion within the division. Serve as a liaison between the organization and the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and prepare for and present information at DMH Contract meetings Assess, teach, and monitor staff application of program structures through supervision of the program coordinators and direct observation of staff activities. Monitor program budgets in conjunction with the fiscal manager and the director of community support services. Make changes and develop corrective actions as necessary Participate in on call coverage. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required. Minimum of three years experience working in a residential setting with individuals who experience SPMI, Substance Use, and/or Co-occurring Disorders, including at least two years in human services management, required. Experience working collaboratively with DMH, local hospitals, and community providers. Experience with MAP, highly desired. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, required.
