Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process various loan types including FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, Home Equity Lines of Credit, second mortgages, and more.
  2. Accurately assess income for diverse borrower profiles.
  3. Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, loan agents, and third-party stakeholders.
  4. Request, evaluate, and confirm all loan documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy before submission to underwriting.
  5. Verify deposits, employment, and credit reports.
  6. Manage daily workflow to meet company timelines.
  7. Keep clients and loan agents informed about loan status and any changes.
  8. Document any critical changes requiring redisclosure in the loan origination system.
  9. Coordinate loan closings with clients and title companies.
  10. Work additional hours as necessary.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  1. In-depth knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, and other loan programs.
  2. Familiarity with federal and state regulations, including TRID.
  3. Ability to analyze complex tax returns and accurately calculate borrower income.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  1. 5-7 years of experience in mortgage loan processing.
  2. Current experience with purchase loans.
  3. Proficiency in Encompass or similar mortgage loan origination systems.
  4. Understanding of compliance regulations and investor guidelines.

Additional Information: This role may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing. The job description is not exhaustive and may include additional duties as needed to support the organization.
