Job Summary

The Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities and account development within their assigned region. This includes building and maintaining relationships with customers, increasing their use of our line of credit, and identifying and mitigating account risk and collections pre and post default.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow the portfolio by collecting new dealer applications, including timely follow-up on new leads and referrals.
  • Achieve goals and performance targets as set by the company through daily production and activities, including calls and visits to customers, and collaborating with internal partners to drive revenue and maximize profitability.
  • Educate customers on desired account and audit performance, self-service options, and best practices, and coach them to ensure compliance with company policies and expectations.
  • Collect and analyze customer financial information and various internal reports, scorecards, and dashboards to assess and monitor dealer performance and address with the dealer as appropriate to drive growth and manage risk.
  • Support the Risk department with post and pre-default risk mitigation.
  • Serve as a fiduciary for the company, identifying and reporting any material information or internal non-compliance with company policies, attempted or actual fraud upon the company, or any other circumstance that may require identification and reporting to protect the company.
  • Document notes and all activities and client interactions through various company CRSs as required by the company.
  • Create synergies throughout all Hankey Group companies.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish)
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry (various sectors)
  • Strong financial acumen with working knowledge of key financial tools and terminology
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with clients, collaborate with internal team members, and external partners at various levels within the organization
  • Strong time management skills with ability to manage deadlines
  • Strong negotiation and collection skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a remote environment
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • BA/BS in related field and 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • 2+ years related experience in finance, sales, account management, and/or collections required
  • Travel: Greater than 25% with some overnight travel required
  • Ability to travel, fly, drive
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Valid driver's license required for this position

  • Guaranteed Bonus Income $2,000 a month for 4 months (month 1 is prorated), $1,500 month 5 & 6, $1,000 month 7
  • Monthly vehicle mileage reimbursement program average of $450 monthly
  • Average rep earning after 1 year - $114,764
  • Average Earning of top 50 reps - $126,380
  • No limit on commissions
