About the Role

Ferman Chevrolet Brandon is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a positive experience at our dealership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that our guests have a positive experience at our dealership.
  • Consult with guests and service technicians to recommend services needed and discuss any future maintenance, service, or repair.
  • Create service repair orders detailing all work to be performed and provide guests with a complete and accurate estimate of repair.
  • Use phone, text messaging, and email to maintain timely and continuous communication with guests regarding vehicle status, changes, delays, or additional work required and any changes in cost estimate.
  • Advise guests on the care and value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Strictly follow the manufacturer's warranty guidelines and procedures.
  • Track and control all open repair orders written.
  • Manage and oversee the workflow and scheduling with a team of technicians.
  • Schedule maintenance appointments or follow-up service and repairs.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, and company policy, regarding the safeguarding of all customer, company, and manufacturer information, as well as guests' vehicles and property.
  • Strive to maintain excellent CSI scores.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Automotive Service Advisor experience required.
  • Must have the ability to achieve exceptional CSI scores.
  • Bilingual with proficiency in both English and Spanish a plus.
  • The ideal candidate is friendly and presents a positive attitude, is energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, has excellent organizational skills, and is able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Above-average writing, telephone, and texting skills, and proficient in using computers and tablets.
  • Must be able to explain complex automotive terms and procedures in a manner that's easily understood by the guest.
  • Self-motivated, able to multitask effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of vehicle mechanics and parts is a plus.
  • Good sales skills and ability to work weekends a plus.
  • Must have a valid US government-issued Driver's License, a safe driving record, and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.
