We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at HF Sinclair Corporation. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for conducting complex financial analysis and providing technical support to less experienced personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth financial research and analysis to support management decisions
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to ensure accurate financial planning
  • Provide analytical support in financial budgeting and planning, and promote management's understanding of financial data and performance
  • Perform analysis on various financial reports, including cash management, pricing strategies, and operating forecasts
  • Identify and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making
  • Prepare, review, and present financial reports to management or board of directors using various communication methods and settings
  • Provide analytical support in capital expenditure and cost variation analysis
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the company's internal financial database
  • Establish partnerships and relationships with peers and functional leaders
  • Operate with minimal supervision and make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products and experience with financial software
  • Strong understanding of finance concepts and procedures
  • Proficient with spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of banking industry as needed
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently
  • Good understanding of financial risk and mitigation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, both in written and verbal communication
