Job Title: Lead Sales Associate - FT

At Dollar General, we're committed to providing a positive and inclusive work environment for our employees. As a Lead Sales Associate, you'll play a key role in maintaining a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and assisting customers with their shopping needs.
  • Operate a cash register, scanning items, collecting payment, and making change as needed.
  • Stock merchandise, restock shelves, and build displays to maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Clean the store, including the floor, restrooms, and stockroom, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms to optimize store displays and sales.
  • Open and close the store under the direction of the Store Manager.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of safety policies and practices.
  • Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and operate a cash register.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run the check-out station, stock merchandise, and unload trucks.
  • Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment.
  • Frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing (using a step ladder) up to heights of six feet.
  • Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level.
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
