Position: Home Health Aide (HHA)

Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to deliver tailored home care services within a client's residence. The HHA will collaborate closely with the client and their family to evaluate and provide essential support services aimed at enhancing the client's quality of life.

This role is part-time with an hourly wage ranging from $17 to $18, paid bi-weekly.

Compensation & Benefits:
The hourly wage for the Home Health Aide (HHA) position is between $17 and $18. As a part-time employee, you will receive bi-weekly payments. Additionally, you will have access to a variety of benefits, including health insurance, paid holidays, flexible spending accounts, and vacation days. There are opportunities for extra shifts available during weekends, afternoons, and evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care services based on the patient's needs, which may include monitoring vital signs, assisting with bathing, and providing feeding support.
  • Support patients with mobility exercises, housekeeping tasks, and physical therapy as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Assist with medication administration, monitor vital signs, offer companionship, and perform other necessary tasks.
  • Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures established by Interim HealthCare.
  • Foster and maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are necessary.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
  • Must fulfill the minimum requirements for certification as a Home Health Aide in Michigan.
  • Understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
  • Familiarity with safety and infection control protocols.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
