Position: Home Health Aide (HHA)
Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to deliver tailored home care services to clients in their residences. The HHA will collaborate closely with clients and their families to evaluate and provide essential support services, ensuring optimal quality of life.
This is a part-time hourly role with a competitive wage ranging from $17 to $18 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Home Health Aide (HHA) position offers a wage of $17 to $18 per hour, with bi-weekly payments. As a member of Interim HealthCare, you will enjoy a variety of benefits, including health insurance, paid holidays, flexible spending accounts, and vacation days. There are opportunities for additional shifts on weekends, afternoons, and evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care services based on patient needs, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with bathing, and feeding.
- Support patients with mobility exercises, housekeeping tasks, and physical therapy as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with medication administration, monitor vital signs, provide companionship, and perform other duties as required.
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical, mental, or emotional state to appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to Interim HealthCare's policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance is necessary.
- Ability to handle patient information in accordance with confidentiality standards.
- Must meet the minimum criteria for Michigan certified Home Health Aides.
- Understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
- Familiarity with safety and infection control protocols.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
