Position Overview:
The Radiation Therapist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, focusing on the precise localization of treatment areas and the administration of radiation therapies to patients, all under the guidance of the Radiation Oncologist.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited institution in Radiation Therapy
- Valid Montana Licensure as a Radiation Therapist
- Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- A minimum of three years of experience in a comparable position, with proficiency in electronic health record systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administers radiation therapy to patients
- Ensures completion of all necessary documentation for treatment
- Conducts simulations and simulation radiography (including CT, MRI, and PET) to accurately localize treatment areas while confirming the treatment plan with the Radiation Oncologist.
- Provides patient education regarding procedures on the initial treatment day.

- Adheres to all safety protocols related to ionizing radiation for both patients and self, reporting any anomalies to the Medical Physicist.
- Participates in weekly chart reviews and monthly departmental meetings.
- Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Performs additional duties as required.
