Position Overview:
The Clinical Radiation Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, focusing on the precise localization of treatment zones and the administration of radiation therapy to patients, all under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a comparable position, along with proficiency in electronic health record systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers radiation therapy while ensuring all necessary documentation for treatment is accurately completed.
  • Conducts simulations and simulation radiography (including CT, MRI, and PET) to accurately localize treatment areas, confirming the treatment plan with the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Provides patient education regarding procedures on the initial treatment day.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols related to ionizing radiation for both patients and self, promptly reporting any anomalies to the Medical Physicist.
  • Participates in weekly chart reviews and monthly departmental meetings.
  • Maintains a safe and hygienic work environment.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
