We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sleep Disorder Testing Specialist to join our team at Bozeman Health. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all aspects of sleep disorder testing, including EEG testing and CPAP setup and compliance tracking.
- Assist patients in all aspects of meeting compliance, including CPAP mask fitting and therapy compliance issues.
- Work closely with the Sleep Center Medical Director and Sleep Center Supervisor to assure excellence in patient service.
- Assist in setup of pre-surgery CPAP patients.
- Required to be proficient in scoring and evaluating polysomnograms.
- Run adult and pediatric EEGs.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
- American Heart Association BLS
- Previous EEG experience
- Essential Job Functions:
- Set-up CPAP machines and assist patients in all aspects of meeting compliance
- Assist and educate patients in CPAP mask fitting and all therapy compliance issues
- Work closely with Sleep Center Medical Director and Sleep Center Supervisor to assure excellence in patient service
- Assist in setup of pre-surgery CPAP patients

- Physical Requirements:

- Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.)
- Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.)

- Extended Hours:
- The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.
- Flexible Schedule:
- The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- On-Call Availability:
- On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.
- Effective Communication:
- Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.
- Handling Challenging Situations:
- The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families.
