Registered Nurse II for MSS

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our Maternity Support Services (MSS) team in Vancouver, WA.
About the Role:This is a full-time position responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to pregnant and postpartum women, as well as their infants. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and observe client and family needs, providing education and support to promote healthy outcomes.
- Participate in monthly provider meetings and quarterly Community First Steps meetings.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Perform independently, effectively, and professionally as an interdisciplinary team member.
- Communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, recognizing cultural, environmental, and socio-economic factors that may affect a client's ability to receive, comprehend, and retain information.
- BSN/RN with recent maternal/infant, community, or public health experience.
- Experience in patient counseling and education, lactation consultation experience, and/or certified Childbirth Educator is preferred.
- Effective oral/written communication skills, assessment, and intervention skills, ability to recognize and support health behavior change.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle and be able to make home visits.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Russian is preferred but not required.
