We are seeking a skilled IBM IMS Administrator to join our team at Infosys. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for discovering and defining problem statements, evaluating solution options, and making recommendations.

You will create detailed documentation and process artifacts, and implement the deployment plan. Additionally, you will support knowledge transfer to provide value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 4 years of Information Technology experience and at least 3 years of experience on IBM IMS administration are also required.

Key responsibilities include managing and performing physical database maintenance, performing database reorganization to improve performance and reclaim space, and providing 24 x 7 on-call problem resolution DBMS support for production application databases.

Preferred qualifications include a willingness to work in production support and on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours, including weekends. Strong communication and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment, are also highly valued.

This role entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods of time, and requires the ability to communicate effectively by telephone, email, or face-to-face.
