Position Summary and Responsibilities
  • Floater Educators may possess a 2-year associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, along with at least 1 year of verified teaching experience in a licensed environment.
  • Collaborative teaching teams are accountable for the educational growth and development of children in their care, which includes planning, executing, and assessing learning activities.
  • Educators must adhere to all relevant policies and guidelines, including sanitation and nutritional regulations.
  • Full-time staff typically work between 30 to 40 hours weekly, with many opting for a 4-day workweek.
Preferred Qualifications

Certifications/Education:

  • NC B-K Initial License
  • NC Lateral Entry B-K License
  • NC Residency B-K License

Experience:

  • Preferred experience in licensed childcare settings.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to build strong, communicative relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Encourage literacy development throughout the classroom.
  • Exhibit effective classroom management and communication skills, and be a collaborative team member.
  • Possess strong organizational capabilities.
  • Understanding of child development and learning behaviors.
  • Ability to keep students actively engaged in learning.
