Job Overview

At Care-O-World, we are looking for a dedicated Culinary Specialist to support our childcare facilities in providing nutritious meals for children. This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for cooking and want to make a positive impact on young lives.

Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; a 2-year culinary arts degree is preferred
  • At least two years of experience in food service, including preparation from raw ingredients
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Positive reference checks from previous employers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all food service operations within the childcare environment
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the facility, managing allergies and dietary restrictions
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of sanitation regulations and best practices
  • Implement a rotating menu for food preparation and supply ordering
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and storage areas
  • Complete 1.0 CEUs or 10 contact hours of professional development annually
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations is beneficial but not mandatory
